I have created slideshows for a few years now, trying to do one today and when I go to created it acts like it is going to and then two error messages come up, one says error downloading slide show photos and then almost immediately another pops up saying Internet Connection required, I am hooked up to the internet

Your post has very little useful content in it that we can use to help you troubleshoot the problem you are having, please refer to Writing an effective Apple Support Communities Question and then please re-write your question. To begin with we have no idea of your work flow including the apps you are using to create the slide shows and just need to confirm you are using a 21.5" iMac with Mac OS 14.6 installed.
Are you using iCloud Photos and, if so, do you have "Optimize Mac Storage" enabled?
