USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter

Hi, I bought a USB-C to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter for my iPhone 15 Pro, but it does not work. I took it back to the store where I purchased it, and they told me that my cable is not original because the genuine Apple cable is thinner than mine. I have no doubts that this cable is an original Apple product, and I would like to ask the community if Apple has ever produced or currently produces a USB-C to 3.5 mm adapter with two different types of cables: one thin and one thicker. Did you purchase the cable directly from Apple or an actual Apple Authorized Reseller? Whether anyone has purchased more than one and would know if Apple has sold two of the same cable with different cable thickness isn't very likely. This is a user to user only forum.
