Second letter of the words are also being capitalized with Bluetooth keyboard on my MacBook Pro

I have a BLuetooth Apple Keyboard connected to my MacBook Pro laptop. Recently, I've noticed that if I Capitalize a letter, the following letter is CApitized as well, as can be seen in my typing. It doesn't seem to happen on my laptop keyboard, only when I am using the Bluetooth keyboard. THE keyboard has been working fine for years and I have changed the batteries. ANy Suggestions?
