best adaptor for an 2024 iMac

Bought a new 2024 iMac desktop and now I need to buy an adaptor to be able to use my USB, SD cards, etc. Bought what I thought was highly rated one (USB C Hub for iMac 24 inch 2021/2023/2024, Minisopuru iMac USB Hub Support M.2 NVMe SSD, iMac Accessories for iMac M1/M3/M4, iMac USB Adapter with USB A/C 10Gbps, SD/TF, M.2 SSD) but it keeps disconnecting when trying to transfer photos off the card to the desktop. Anyone have a proven adaptor they can recommend? One that has more than one USB port and DS card at a minimum. Thank you.
