Can I Use a Multi-Network Tracker SIM Card for Improved GPS Coverage with My Apple Devices?

I’m considering the Tracker SIM Card from UK Telecom Distribution, which offers multi-network capabilities for consistent GPS tracking. I’d like to know if this SIM card is compatible with Apple devices, such as the iPhone or iPad, when used for GPS tracking purposes.

Additionally, does anyone have experience using a multi-network SIM with Apple devices for asset tracking or vehicle monitoring? Are there any special configurations required to optimize connectivity across different networks?

Looking forward to insights or suggestions from those who’ve tried similar setups. Thanks!

iPhone 7, iOS 14

GPS satellite reception and tracking accuracy don't depend on the SIM card.

To some extent, location accuracy on cell phones does depend on cellular reception. Cell phones use what is sometimes referred to as assisted GPS (aGPs) which uses not only the GPS signals but also cellular tower data and location information from WiFi networks in range (even if you're not connected to the network).

I don't see anything in the description of the SIM that says it specifically improves GPS tracking capabilities. I suspect that it may help, when used as designed, because it will automatically switch to the strongest carrier. However, the description specifically says that it's intended for use in GPS vehicle trackers, not phones. I strongly suspect it will not work well in an iPhone. However, I suggest you contact the company selling them directly and ask.
