Logic Pro update problems - Tracks will disapear when I merge them

Anybody having problems with the new Logic Pro update. Now when I merge tracks one will always disapears. Also I been having probelms with record enable. Now when I have it on I can't hear playback from the track unless I make a separate track under it.
