Photos used to show option for IDvia Google

It's no longer an i with a star. Here

it's a little leaf with a star, because Photos found a plant. The info window looks like this:

In Settings>Apps>Photos, be sure to turn on Enhanced Visual Search.

In previous OSs, people complained about not being able to turn this off. So now, you may have to turn it on.

Well, clearly not, since I've shown it to you on my iPhone using iOS18. Did you look at the pictures I included?

How long has it been since you upgraded? It took several days for my phone to scan all my pictures and start Visual Lookup.

I didn't doubt that-- but it's not because the function does not exist in this OS18.

It's just been two days? Photos has to go through all your pictures and analyze each of them for all different categories of things. That does take a bit of time! Plug in the phone, make sure you have a good internet connection, and leave it alone for a while.

Visual Lookup is still available. Were the images that you’ve been trying to use Visual Lookup showing info before? Do you see an icon like this?
