caps lock not instantly reacting

Hi, I am working on a new macbook pro and a new magic keyboard connected to it. Macbook on AC and keyboard 97% charged. All the keys are instantly reacting and I can quickly type my message. Only one button is giving me troubles, the CAPS lock. When I type with ten fingers and in the typing I press the CAPS lock with the same speed as a normal key then most of the times the CAPS lock is not turning on. When I press the CAPS for a second or so, then it switches on.

Is there a setting for the CAPS lock to give it a time delay for switching on?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 15.1

To directly answer your question ... no, there is no setting to control the time delay of any individual key on the Magic Keyboard.

It may be possible that the keyboard is defective. Since you just got it, you have a few choices:

If you got it within the last 14 days, you can return it for either a full refund or a replacement.
If after that, you will need to have an Apple Technician examine it to verify if it is a manufacturing defect. If true, then you can get a replacement at little or no cost to you.
