"Macbook pro 2017 A1707 Black screen: I have a MacBook Pro w/touch bar model A1707. I had put my laptop to sleep. Then I opened it up and the keyboard and touch bar lit up, but the screen was completely black. I just hit the power button to turn it off and waited a few seconds before turning it back on and now nothing is showing up on it, i tried reseting smc and nvram, i even updated my os using external screen but still nothing. On the touch bar the esc key shows up and the caps lock turns green."

About a Black Mac Screen:
A. Your Screen is Failing:
I came across this on my 2017 Mac. The connector between the LogicBoard and the screen was loose, and I had to send it in for service 11 times. Being so patient of a cuter, was eventually replaced with a $2,500 MBP, for no more than the price of a AppleCare. Being is occurred during COVID, I had to send this in. Today, the option to take this in for service is stall an option. So take this in for service, ASAP.
