Can Apple replace my MacBook Air with the m2 chip for the m3 chip?

Can an Apple store replace the M2 chip in my 2023 MacBook Air with the M3 chip or does that require trading in my laptop for a new one?

And is it worth the expense of replacing the M2 with the M3 chip?

MacBook Air 15″, macOS 15.2

There is nothing that can be 'swapped' in modern Mac laptops. The processors, memory, SSD storage, etc., are all integrated into the logic board.

Thank you,

I was thinking in the back of my mind that I would probably be required to purchase a new MacBook and just hoping there might be an off chance of a chip swap, like MicroSox does.

My reason for thinking of the M3 chip replacement is purely because I really like how fast my M2 chip responds and wanting to go even faster.
