Apple Maps covers up road names

Apple Maps “covers up” the road names with the blue route indicator along your route. The result is, you can’t tell which roads you are taking along a suggested route. Has anyone found a way around this bug? And why in the world does this issue continue to exist? It’s like Apple developers don’t even use Apple Maps, otherwise you would think someone would be annoyed enough to fix it.

I agree - it's very annoying. Google maps does the same. I've always assumed that it's because the devs expect people to have their phone on them and mindlessly follow the directions on the screen or in their headphones instead of remembering a set of street names, which is what I prefer to do. If you wander around a town concentrating on the phone you're holding in your hands then it won't take long for some scumbag on a bike to relieve you of it.

Send feedback to Apple if you want, but I guess that this would fall under their "you're using it wrong" category.
