Home pod automation only plays a single song and stops

Okay. I’ve had it with the Apple Home Pod. I had non-stop problems with it when I first bought it, which they actually fixed for a period of about 3 months,

I spent hours setting up numerous automations. 6 for each day. In the morning, I have the Home Pod started playing whatever music was playing the night before (because I have soft music playing at night). Then throughout the day, I have automations to play different style music, each day is different.

Initially I had issues with automations even firing in the first place. After Apple did some updates, that finally started working (on its own - I did nothing - shouldn’t need to because everything I had to do I had already done).

Now my automations fire, but they only play a single song. I’m furious. What did Apple do this time to break our **** products?

Yes I have Apple Music subscription. Yes I have reliable internet. Yes I’ve updated the home pod and my phone to the latest update. Yes, yes, yes to all anyone’s basic formulaic answers. I’m a software engineer. I write code for a living. I have spent hours and hours pouring through every setting, and nothing fixes it.
