Mac Air requires PW after screen lock once Mirroring enabled

I have a M2 with most up to date Sequoia. Just added a iPhone Pro...and enabled Mirroring . TROUBLE!!!

Now I must enter a PW every time my screen re opens. If I go into LOCK SCREEN TIME the 4th setting down IS GRAYED OUT. So I have to put in a PW everytime. I called Mac, the spent 30 minutes unable to help me

Tried turning off mirroring. Turning off phone. Nothing lets me adjust this setting. AND if I could, as soon as I re enabled Mirroring it would just reset PW requirement.

Basically I purchased 2 brand new Apple products, so new Apple doesn't know about them???

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 12.7

THANK YOU............What I did not see/understand was how to get into iPhone mirroring settings......That only appears on top left next to Apple when the iPhone Mirror app is on. When it's off the those settings disappear.

Level 2 apple care immediately understood. Level 1 had difficulty understanding even after reading your answer. Heck they couldn't even understand my problem.....While looking at my settings/lock screen being grayed out!!

I go into my iPhone. There is no 'mirroring app'. My app library shows only thing under 'I' is ITunes Store and Instagram. No mirror/mirroring under M.

I can see the mirror app on MacBook air...and I can access the phone from my MacBook air.

I cannot find the settings you are referring to?...You would think I was the first person to ever want to use their MacBook air w iPhone 16 Pro. I purchased for seem- less integrated systems. It's perplexing to me Apple Care has no idea how to help me.
