Mac Studio Display bought a year and a half ago.

No wonder there's no apple care.

This display was bought new from apple a year and a half ago. It's very slow to start up. Sometimes it's slow to show things. But worst of all, the camera frequently stops working. I restart it, and the camera works again,, but the frequency of the problem gets worse so I have to prep for every zoom conversation.

This is a lemon, and there's nothing I can do, is there?

Do they even repair them?

To me the camera problem sounds like a Zoom issue - may even have messed it up over time.


Resetting your Mac to factory might also do the trick. But first, schedule Apple in-store repair and have them give your display a clean chit so you can focus your troubleshooting elsewhere. Good luck, do update.

Unfortunately the problem is intermittent. Can't duplicate it at will. It just happens from time to time and the only workaround is to check my photo booth before any planned zoom session and if the camera's not working restart the computer until it is working.
