Unable to reinstall TikTok app after deletion

I just deleted the tik tok app because everyone’s started working again and was going to redownload it and it won’t show up on the Apple Store to redownload even though I have a tik tok account

I deleted TikTok once I heard that it would be banned because I thought it would be it then it was announced that TikTok had been UN-banned so I went to the App Store and I couldn’t find the app to put TikTok back in the App Store for the people who deleted it since it is now unbanned

Why is Apple denying the use or download of Tictok

Because TikTok is now banned on the U.S. That they are still operating is the result of the former and current POTUS having decided not to enforce the law at this time. Meanwhile Apple and Google have both removed TikTok from their app stores in compliance with the law of the land. Learn by reading please.

Apple stop being jerks and let us redownload the app. If we can use the website then we should be able to use the app

Do you really have no idea what the law is that your Representative passed in Congress? The law placed $5,000 per violation fines on both Apple and Google for downloads of the app in their App Store. Even with the extension granted for TikTok, Congress has NOT overturned the law. The Supreme Court has also NOT ruled whether any Executive Order would be able to eliminate those fines. With that you are left with either using a previously downloaded version of TikTok or the website.

As usual it is best to be educate yourself on the details, before making statements where it showcases the lack of understanding. Hopefully that will help clear it up. If you are simply looking for someone to complain to, start with your Representatives in Congress that voted for the law. Do you know who they are and how they voted?

Fr like it doesn’t make sense why the took it out from the App Store

Because your Representatives in Congress voted to fine Apple, Google, and Microsoft if they allowed any user to download TikTok in their App Stores.

  • Do you know who your Representatives are and how they voted?
  • Have you been in contact with them?

At this point, the Supreme Court has not ruled whether an Executive Order can overturn the fines put in place by Congress. We will have to wait and see how it plays out. We have 3 branches of Governernment, each with their own checks and balances, otherwise we would have a Dictatorship.

For now you can continue to use the web version and access TikTok with Safari. If you used the App previously, it would still be on your device and would not have affected you at all. Did you just decide today that you wanted to download the app?
