New Gmail account does not show up on iPhone

I set up a new Gmail account using my Ipad.I The account does not show up on my iPhone. transferred over to my iPhone. I tried “add another account”, but it says “that address is already in use.” Does anyone have a solution. I’ve tried all the obvious ones.
