Numbers format tabs are same but not what shows on sheet

sinking text in bottom cell. all 4 format tabs seem to be the same, but 2 cells come up like this.

what am I missing?

Suddenly cannot paste tab delimited text into Numbers correctly I have several rows of tab-delimited text that is generated automatically (a process I have done weekly for over 10 years). The list contains only 16 fixed strings that never change, only the order of strings changes. Up until this week, I have been able to copy the tab-delimited text from a text editor (BBEdit) and paste it into the rows and columns in a Numbers document without issue. Today, suddenly, the entire list is copied into all of the selected cells. I cannot work out why. One of the character strings has a space character in it. I deleted the space character and tried again. Lo and behold, the list formats correctly when pasted into Numbers (excluding the space character which I have to reinsert). But for over a decade, copying lists containing the exact same string worked without problem. Did something change in a recent update OR is there a preference somewhere that has changed? Completely baffled by this weird change in behavior.

problem with numbers I can't get numbers to hide columns properly. When I select multiple columns then try to hide them it grabs the columns and starts a selected and move area process. I've done what I am trying to do many times before. Could I have a hardware problem or a bug?

k, finding that the Text Align top to bottom buttons aren't working in these 2 cells.

I deleted the whole row and pasted back into new row. No change.

copied, deleted row, Paste and Match style fixed it. But dunno why it became corrupt and wouldn't fix.

It's hard to say what happened. Sometimes I get unexpected formats when I copy-paste values into Numbers from external sources. Your Edit > Paste and Match Style seems to be the best way to fix the problem.
