AirPlay on MacBook Air keep cutting out Audio on my TV post update.

Hi! I’ve been using AirPlay to project videos, mainly Youtube to my Roku smart tv. I haven’t had any issues until recently, like a day or two after I updated my Mac. The audio now cutting out for about 5-10 seconds randomly. I checked for an update on my tv and nothing. I also tried “forgetting” the device to reset the AirPlay connection and that didn't work either. My internet connection is fine for both. Any help?

To fix the AirPlay audio cutting out issue after your update, try these steps:

Restart Everything
Sometimes, simply restarting both your MacBook Air and Roku TV can clear up any temporary glitches.
AirPlay Settings
Go to System Preferences > Displays > AirPlay Display and double-check that your Roku TV is selected. You can also turn AirPlay off and on again through your Mac's Control Center to reset the connection.
Software Updates
Ensure both your Mac and Roku have the latest updates. On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Software Update, and on your Roku, head to Settings > System > System Update.
Wi-Fi Check
Make sure both your Mac and Roku are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, connection issues arise if they’re on different networks.
Sound Settings
On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Sound and make sure the output is set to your Roku. If your TV is set to surround sound, switch it to stereo to see if that fixes it.
Use Wired Connection

Tried 1-8 and still had the problem. It shifted to going for longer between cutting out and cutting out for longer.

The only other devices on the WiFi (and again, never been an issue) are my iPhone and Apple Watch. The watch is on my wrist 90% of the time (outside of when it's charging and plugged into my Mac- never been an issue).

Just checked and both are on 5GHz WiFi, so that shouldn't be the issue.

As for plugging it in to my TV that feels kind of redundant since AirPlay is supposed to avoid that.

Apparently having the Roku audio set as "Auto" is suddenly what causes the issue. I switched it to "stereo" and that seems to have fixed it. I've had this TV for a little under a month, I don't get why now there'd be an issue all the sudden like that.
