My daughter has a iphone 12, i can not get face id set up on her phone. is this due to an age restriction as she is 10. the phone does recognise her face when it asks her to hold the pohne a certain distance from her face.
however i have been into settings > face id and security ........ yet there is no option to set up face id

Face ID is not available to users under the age of 13. This is because their facial characteristic and other factors are not fully developed. Please review the Apple Support article for additional information on Face ID and facial recognition.
