How do I get a physical Apple Mastercard?

Hey folks,

I purchased a 2024 Mac Mini in December. I applied for the Apple credit card to finance it. When the approval didn't materialize within 2 days, I used another card. A week later I get approved for the Apple card.

A month had gone by and no card in the mail. I call Goldman Sacs to find out WTH? They said I have to order the physical card from the wallet app. I explain to the young lady that I don't own an Apple phone with a wallet app. She says to me well you don't really need a physical card. I am like, uh? How am I suppose to use this line of credit without one? I tried to use the wallet app on the Mac Mini but that doesn't seem to work. So how am I suppose to get this card? I even asked if the lady could order one for me on the phone and she said NO, IT HAS TO BE DONE ON THE WALLET APP. Personally, I find this funny as ****. She said to borrow someone else's phone. I am like that doesn't sound like a good idea to me.

So here is my question. How do I get this Apple Mastercard in my physical wallet? Every other credit card company issues a physical card within 10 days of getting approved, but not here.

You don’t. Physical Apple Card can only requested by using an Apple iPhone. Apple Cards are tightly integrated with iPhones and you may encounter issues with statements, reviewing daily transactions, using you Daily Cash and many other features of your account.

Apple Card was never meant to be like every other credit card. The majority of its benefits and features require the use of an iPhone. So comparing it to every other card is pointless. I understand you didn’t understand the limitations, but they are contained in the terms and conditions and additional support material Apple has publicly available.

Yes, getting the physical titanium Apple Card requires an iPhone to request a card.

You have to use your own best judgment and due diligence when applying for financial accounts. Underhanded is just your personal opinion. I understood the limitations and benefits when I applied. I didn’t read the fine print, just promotional material and application.

If the restrictions and limitations don’t work for you, close the account and move on.

While applying for the card and using the physical card itself don't require an iPhone since it functions as a ordinary MasterCard, You are telling me to my surprised that getting a physical card requires purchasing an iPhone—an additional $1,200 expense even though I already own a $2,400 Mac Mini. This crucial requirement should have been prominently displayed as 'iPhone Required' rather than being buried in the fine print. Very underhanded way to deepen someone into the ecosystem, ¿eh? Just tell the customer it's for your own good and security, right?
