How to update a cell in numbers, from another cell.

I have Text Cell A1 and Cell A2 is a check box format.

I need the when A1 is Blank, the value of A2 changes to False.

All of this in the Mac

It works the other way around. A value in another cell can depend on whether a checkbox is checked or not (has the value true or false). See the 'Checklist Total' template at File > New in the menu. But a checkbox cannot be changed according to the value of another cell.


You can have a formula display a checkmark character in a cell. ✔️ But that has none of the properties of a cell formatted as Checkbox.
