Refund request for unauthorized Apple Card transaction

They told me to drive the car from California to here and they broke down and I sent him some money and they used it without my permission and then I’ve blocked that $1800 on Apple Card. Can I get a refund?

I’m sorry I just purchased five cards up to $1400 one was $100. Only $600 was $400 one was 325 and the problem is he wasn’t supposed to use them without my permission to fix his car is out of state. I wonder if possible your refund thank you.

Sounds like you are a victim of a common Gift Card scam. You are not likely going to get your money back as those are just like any other cash transaction. Review the support article here about Gift Card scams and it also has links to report them to the FTC. The FTC also provides information to help you with avoiding Gift Card scams. Basically NEVER provide someone the information from a Gift Card and if they are asking you to purchase one for them, it is ALWAYS a scam.

It is a little confusing because you refer to the Apple Card, which actually is the Apple Credit Card and I believe you are referring to the Apple Gift Card.

Sorry but Apple has nothing to do withy this. You were scammed. Accept your losses and learn from you mistakes. It sounds like you purchased gifts cards and sent them to this individual. If they were Apple gift cards they can only be used to buy Apple products and services, not repair automobiles. Sorry but you are almost assuredly out the $1400.
