Screentime passcode issue on iPhone after turning it off

I came across an incredibly frustrating issue. Basically, I turned off my own custom screentime without a screentime passcode whatsoever and turned it back on. Now it HAS a passcode and I don’t know it. It might have somehow picked up my ipads restrictions. Also, the ”forgot passcode” for screentime is gone after putting the right apple id and password. So now I am stuck and cant use spotify, youtube or any games or important apps, because it feels like my phone restricted me automatically by adding the passcode! I did not press share across devices either and its on!

I found a solution: if changing or removing the screen time passcode is read as a failed attempt, try the apple id that the passcode was set up on the other device that the phone had somehow shared the settings with. In my case, it was my dad’s.

Don’t Share your Account:

Seems you were in luck —not everyone is sharing their account. Find My is likely enabled, thereby allowing another device to help you get in: How to Remove Activation Lock - Apple Support

It’s unwise to grant another person permission to your Apple Account. If they have access, then they might purchase something with their own consent. Keep it to yourself, and use Family Sharing, if you want to access certain data between you and another person’s account.

Troubleshooting a Locked iPhone:

Seems you may end up getting a locked iPhone. So, contact Apple Support. Refer to the following...

Hold It Right There!:

Enter the passcode incorrectly too many times, and you'd likely be locked out for good. So, hold it right there, and refer to this link: If you Forgot the Passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is Disabled - Apple Support. It would be the one you've always entered. If you do not know it, then look for it in a location you may have stored it in.

Being Locked Out...

Have any Proof of Purchase?

Unless you have the original packaging and receipt, you may be out of luck. If you do have it, however, then take this to an Apple Store, or an AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider)! and they may be able to restore it. The reason for this blockage is all about Security & Privacy.
