I have two Macbooks one is MacBook M2 and the other one is M4 and both are running Sequoia 15.2 operating system.
I also have an external Dell Ultrasharp 34 monitor - U3419W.
I have noticed that M4 does not connect to the monitor but M2 connects. This seems to have happened after a recent upgrade.

U3419W appear to be a 4K display with 10 bit color (HDR)
interfaces include
2 x HDMI 2.0
1 x DisplayPort 1.2
what cables, adapters, and Docks are you using to make the connection?
are those cables marked as certified USB-C Super-Speed or USB 20 G bits/sec?
how long are those cables?
I am having the same issue after upgrading to the M4 Max. I was originally running a M1 Max with no issues on dual U3419W's. Connections are using the Dell OEM USB-C cables direct to the laptop.
Just ran into the exact same situation, just my Dell monitor is 42', P2421WE, kinda unpopular....
