“The Claim Form requires that you confirm or update your current contact information and confirm the following under oath: from September 17, 2014 to December 31, 2024 (i) you purchased or owned a Siri Device in the United States or its territories and enabled Siri on that device, (ii) you experienced an unintended Siri activation, and (iii) the unintended Siri activation occurred during a conversation intended to be confidential or private. You may submit a Claim Form for up to five Siri Devices.

This is the only way to get a payment.

By receiving a payment, Settlement Class Members will give up rights and be bound by the Settlement.”

The deadline for submitting a claim form is July 2, 2025. The maximum claim is $100 or $20 per device. The settlement limit is $95 million so, I expect only a few dollars per device as the settlement fund is depleted.

Further information is below.

”If you did not receive an email or postcard about the Settlement and don’t have these codes but believe you are a member of the Settlement Class, you may still make a claim by going to the Submit a Claim page to make a claim and following the instruction on how to submit a Claim Form.”

I think if everyone just copies what I posted, or words something similar they’re comfortable with, we’ll get through the next 2 months (must be filed by July 2). After the 2nd, too late, I’m sorry. But I see the volume definitely increasing so we might just copy and paste. Someone could create a user tip too.

You can certainly do that if you want. But I won't be doing so. To me, it's the epitome of lazy, when someone is unwilling to take their time to read when the information they seek has already been posted.

I understand, that’s the past teacher in me. But my retail past tells me it’s all about the customer experience. 😀

That's great. I can depart this thread and know that you will be the champion for the customer experience and you'll be very busy for the next couple of months posting the same thing over and over and over and over!

We kind of do that anyways in ASC, don’t we.

Busy? Yes, for sure. But taking my time to answer posters, who are too lazy to read a thread for the answer, which has been posted multiple times, NO, not me. If others want to waste their time, good for them.

Alright!

It's certainly up to you to write such a user tip. Personally, you couldn't pay me to write one on this. Think about it. This is NOT a subject which will have a very long shelf-life. It's also not likely a topic Apple is very happy about as they may have agreed to the settlement, but they have NOT suggested what the suit is about ever really happened. They likely just decided to not fight it and just put up the money to get this over with. Do you want to be remembered as the member who wrote the user tip about apple being sued?

Are you kidding? We still see questions asking about the claim form for the recall of the iPhone 7. Just saw one a few days ago.

Unfortunately, having a User Tip won't help when users post to ask about it when the link has already been posted in the same thread.

And I don't answer them either. Again, H1290 can certainly take the time to write a user tip if they want, but I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole 😉

Well the user tip would probably be in a Q+A form, just with the facts, to keep everything neat and tidy instead of posting a bunch of text when people ask. But I’ll think about it. About your last sentence, I don’t really care what people think about me, to be completely honest. 😄

I mean if you and Bob both say there’s not really a good reason to write one, who am I to disagree? Take care now, I’m heading back to work.

If you want to do it, I wouldn't stop you. I personally wouldn't waste my time on a topic like this. And this ends my participation in this thread altogether.

My point was.......I think you will be surprised about how long a topic can hold on whenever any kind of "compensation" is involved.

While it won't hurt to write a User Tip about this if you want......I also think it will not really help.

Users will still ask the same questions that have already been answered multiple times in a given thread or previous threads on the same page.
