Unable to open PDF attachements on Icloud

I use iCloud mail in browser on a windows 10 PC. With the recent update of iCloud, when I receive an email with an attachment, I can see the attachment clip of the attached pdf but I cannot open the attachment or interact with it e.g right click and download. It is as if it is a picture. On my phone, iPad, or using MS Outlook, it works as it should i am able to open the attached pdf. But working just in the browser on icloud, I cannot get to the attachment. The latest example was a pdf, which I have no problem seeing. I have tried Brave, Chrome and MS Edge... all with the same issue. Clicking on the little clip does nothing... printing the email does not bring it up. I am able to forward the attachement and then open it from outlook or hotmail. I have a new version of adobe pdf.
