error connecting to server

after being asked to create a new password access to iCloud which I have used before, I’m unable connect to Apple server through my laptop. Can connect on iPhone though

Connection Error: iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server. I keep getting this Connection Error on my MacBook Pro. I have tried over several days, and have restarted my MacBook Pro to no avail. I have not changed the password. It seems to have started when I updated my MacBook Pro to Catalina MacOS 10.15.7. Help! NB: icloud still works fine on my iPhone using iOS 16.4.1.

Connection to iCloud via a windows 11 laptop. Hello there! I cannot connect to icloud via my windows 11 laptop. I get the message "iCloud encountered an error while trying to connect to the server". This has never happened in the past, why is it happening now? what's the porblem? Thanks in advance
