iMac / magic mouse problems

My iMac 2020 (last Intel iMac) and magic mouse developed a very frustrating problem in recent days. The mouse cursor does not track smoothly. It sometimes jumps around. My iMac upgraded to Sequoia 15.3 a couple of nights ago. The problems came up after the upgrade. I've tried the usual solution ... close all the apps and restart. Did not resolve the problem. Any ideas??

As an aside, why has Apple not used its vaunted AI to upgrade the support experience? There may be a solution to my problem out there ... I'm just not clever enough with search terms and filters to find it.

Since this is a user forum, no one here can answer for Apple.

I'm just grousing. The Community Support site would too benefit from better tools than the traditional keyword search & filters. Just for grins, I'll post over on the Apple Support site. I doubt I'd get an answer.

I am one of those few people who choose not to use either a wireless keyboard or mouse. Doing so can cause startup problems in situations where the computer has lost its wireless connection. Then you must use a wired mouse. That is all I and my wife use and they always work just fine.
