iPad refuses to take my Wi-Fi password

Do you have another iOS device at hand? You can use that to share your Wi-fi password.

1. Make sure the other iOS device is logged on to your Wi-fi
2. Go to your iPad, tap on Settings > Wi-Fi, and tap on the network you want to join
3. On your other iOS device, a pop-up should appear asking if you want to share your Wi-Fi password with your friend's device.
4. Tap Share. This will let the iPad go on your Wi-fi without needing to type in anything.

If it doesn't work, make sure that the other iOS device has Bluetooth turned on.

Try turning off VPN and/or private relay. Worked for me. Good Luck.

If the above suggestion to remove “coffee shop” VPNs (and security apps) fails, reset network settings on the iPad, and test again.
