Hesitating to upgrade to macOS Sequoia

I am considering upgrading macOS to Sequoia on my 2020 M1 Mac mini. I often use Microsoft Word for Mac (Version 16.94), however, and I am seeing several discussions indicating problems using that or Microsoft Office Home 2024 with Sequoia. I'd prefer to avoid being forced to switch to using a new word processor. Has this been solved, or is there a reliable work-around? Or should I just stick with my current macOS for now?

Although I do not use a non-365 version of Microsoft Office, I had a look onlone and found a very recent discussion (https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/office-home-2024-fails-to-install-on-imac-with/39bc3f91-c541-4110-b624-34ca9164512a?page=2) that seems to have a solution if you are unable to make the installation work from your Microsoft Office Home 2024. The solution appears to be to install one application at a time, instead of choosing the default full installation. There is also a suggestion to avoid installing Teams alltogether (and I agree because it's not much use without a 365 account and can be used completely from a browser if needed).

I can tell you that the Office 365 installer works perfectly in Sequoia. It sounds like Microsoft needs to do some work on the non-cloud version of the Office installer.

I am using Office 2021 Home and Business for Mac with all releases of Sequoia through v15.3.1 and have had no issues with Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint through v16.94. This is on my M4 Mac Mini Pro, but I have used this Office 2021 suite since Big Sur on a 2020 M1 MacBook Pro, and afterward when I transferred it to my earlier M1 Mac Mini, then its replacement M2 Mac Mini Pro, and now the M4 unit.

I am also running Sequoia v15.3.1 on two other Macs including one that is a 2020 Intel iMac. Zero issues.

I don't let others' issues with Microsoft products deter my decision process.

I was not having an issue with Office 2021 but suddenly I cannot save or update on Excel or Word. I cannot find a solution anywhere. I am not a computer expert. These programs are required for my work.

Can anyone help me in plain english? I do NOT want to subscribe to 365 hence the stand alone purchase last year.

I am running Sequoia 15.3.2 Mac mini M2 Pro
