What is the grey box which covers my typing on Facebook. This has started since Apple gave Starmer permission to snoop

This is what happens when you don't take the time to read past the first post. Had you done so, you'd already know that all you have to do is update the Facebook app as Meta, the parent company of Facebook acknowledged the issue and issued an app update last week, which fixes this.
It happens when i am using messaging app texting and when I am posting or commenting on fb app.
But the apple messages app does it as well.
Which other apps? I’ve not had an issue anywhere else.
Same here. My cursor also jumps to end of text in the FB edit area while editing text elsewhere in the area. 😡
Not only a FB issue.
Anyone have a solution for getting rid of this grey box?
This problem occurs in apps other than Facebook.
I believe FB may be censoring again?

Same thing is happening to me. iPhone Xs Max. I also have trouble opening YouTube videos sometimes. It just won’t click.
Same issue with the pesky gray box! Does it mean what I’m writing is being monitored somehow? It is happening on iPad and iPhone.
No it doesn’t. At least not on the other 5 social media apps I’m using. Where do you see it happening?
Has anyone figured out a solution? I am about to jump to Bluesky- not feeling the love with FB. This is a FB issue- not apple.

I bought my IPhone in Norway. Same problem here. I can feel the snooping going on. this is not right. I think i have to quit Facebook now. Been on the platform since 2004 i think.
I came here for this because it’s happenings to me also.
