“Waiting period several days”?

While attempting to update Apple Account Settings, “There is not enough information to reset your password at this time. You can regain access to your account after a waiting period” and “The waiting period may be several days.”

Does anyone have any ideas for how help will come or getting it sooner?

Unable to reset my Apple Account password Have worked with 2 support personnel by phone. Each gave a different story about what needed to be done. I've tried iforgot multiple times. Always says a date and time I'll get a call or text. Never happens. updating Apple ID settings I changed my password and now I am being prompted to update my Apple ID settings. Every time I click on it, it takes me to a screen with "Update Apple ID Settings - Some account services will not be available until you sign in again" and "Continue" when I click continue I get the spinning wheel and it does nothing - just stays on that screen. And the red dot is still there for me to update settings.

You'll need to wait it out, I've seen wait period from 14 to 30 days.
