How do I recover missing iTunes music on a new Windows PC?

I purchased a new Windows PC. I copied my files to OneDrive (including the i-Tunes Library). Then, downloaded to the new PC. Two things happened. Many of my songs disappeared from the new PC (verified by comparing the i-Pod list). Worse, almost all of my songs on the old PC disappeared. How do I fix this?

See Move your iTunes library to a new computer - Apple Community. OneDrive isn't the ideal tool for moving/copying your library. Ideally you would have used an external drive or your local network. If you really cannot recover the source files on the source computer, or a backup, then retrieving them from your device should be possible.
