I got approved for an Apple Card but I don't have an iPhone

I applied and got approved for an Apple Card yesterday with the intention of using it to buy the iPhone 16 Pro Max along with a few accessories from the Apple store. Like the title says, I don't have an iPhone and the email I received upon approval of the card states that I could start using my card after adding it to the wallet app on my iPhone. I own an iMac and iPad, and when I try to access the wallet option on my iPad, it says Apply for an Apple Card. So I do, and after putting all my information down it says the application can't get processed because I already applied for a card before.

Make sure you are logged into the same Apple Account (formerly known as Apple ID) on your iPad as the one you used for your Apple Card application. This is how Apple will know you have an Apple Card account.

When you go to the Apple Store online make sure you are logged into the same Apple ID. Pick out your item and go to checkout and select Apple Pay. You should be presented with options to use your account.

To use the installment plan you must have the total purchase price available on your available credit balance. It’s not a layaway plan. It’s an interest free installment plan.

In essence you purchase the items on credit (your borrowing the money) each month you pay the minimum due on your statement. You’ll make monthly payments and in 24 months you have paid all the money back interest free.

You can make additional partial payments or pay the balance due at any time with no penalties.

Each month you make a payment, that amount is restored to your available credit.

Questions?

PS: Your first payment is due no later than April 30 at 11:59 Eastern Time. That’s 8:59 West Coast.

Hey thanks for the reply! I just realized something. I forgot to mention I was also trying to purchase these items with the Apple Card Monthly Payment installment plan. When I select the option to purchase my items with the installment plan my total is at around $1,300. Great, I place my order and it says unfortunately your order can't be processed, I click on "go back to store." Do my order again, this time I select where it says Pay In Full. The total this time is different, it's about $1,600. This time however, the Apple Pay option does appear on the checkout. Any idea why that is?
