Trying to add my old printer Canon Pixma MG2920

When I try to add as an air printer or even recognize the printer I get an error message with the yellow triangle.

I can print from my iPhone 15 but need the Mac to work Any hints?

iMac 24″, macOS 15.3

The latest MG2920 (CUPS) printer driver from Canon appears to be for macOS 12 Monterey.

-> DOWNLOADS -> Software & Drivers -> 1. Mac -> 2. macOS Monterey v12 -> 3. RECOMMENDED [MG2900 series CUPS Printer Driver Ver.16.40.1.0 (Mac)]

You could perhaps try this driver anyway. It may or may not work, either with the printer connected via USB or wirelessly.

As always, make sure that you have backup copies of all important files before testing anything.

If necessary, reset the printing system and try to re-add the printer.

The MG2920 is not a supported printer listed in About AirPrint - Apple Support (en-us edition March 10, 2025).
