How do I fix 'Manage Passwords' not working for iCloud password extension on Windows?

I have an Iphone and Ipad and the password functionality is working fine on those. A few months ago on my Windows PC I loaded the iCloud app and the password browser extension to edge and chrome and was able to have my passwords accessible - life was great! :-) About 1 month ago I moved to a new windows PC and loaded all the apple components and they instantly worked fine. Then about a week ago the password functions are not functioning. On either Chrome or Edge browser if I click on the apple password extension and then click "Manage Passwords ..." - nothing happens - no window opens. And when browsing and I go to a website with a passwords, I get the dropdown under the username or password fields that I used to just click and the username or password would be pulled in. Now nothing happens. I have tried uninstalling the icloud app and extensions and re-installing them and that does not correct the issue.
