How can I stop grammar and autocorrect suggestions on my iPhone?

Has anyone found away to eliminate the appalling grammar and autocorrect suggestions, that simply should not be in the phone dictionary and no one who is over 5 years old uses.

words such as “gonna” instead of going?

Come on Apple I am sure the majority of your customers are not illiterate 12 year olds!

While you can't directly remove words like "gonna" from the iPhone's autocorrect dictionary, there are a few workarounds to improve your typing experience:

1. Text Replacement: Go to Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Keyboard ➡️ Text Replacement. Add a new shortcut where typing "gonna" automatically replaces it with "going." This way, you can override autocorrect's suggestions.

2. Reset Keyboard Dictionary: If autocorrect has learned too many unwanted words, you can reset it. Go to Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Transfer or Reset iPhone ➡️ Reset ➡️ Reset Keyboard Dictionary. Keep in mind this will erase all custom words it has learned.

3. Turn Off Auto-Correction: If autocorrect is more trouble than it's worth, you can disable it entirely. Go to Settings ➡️ General ➡️ Keyboard and SET Auto-Correction to OFF.

4. Use Predictive Text Wisely: If you see "gonna" pop up in the predictive text bar, tap and hold it, then select Remove to teach your iPhone not to suggest it.

You’re incorrect. You might want to read the article OED has published on the lengthy process a word goes through before it’s added. I understand you may not like it, but Apple uses the OED as a source and while you may disagree, your issue is with OED and their selection process. Apple is not the arbiter of the English language.
