Is a spark mark on an Apple 20W adapter normal or a cause for concern?

"Hi, I've got a brand new Apple 20W adapter that has developed a spark mark on the leg and a small piece of the leg has broken off. Despite this, the charger is still working fine. Is this normal? Could it be due to a loose socket? Should I continue using it?"

If you have any concerns discontinue use of the product and return to Apple for diagnostics and possible replacement. A physical examination by trained technicians is required for the continued safety of you, your property and the device.
