How do I prevent shared iCloud contacts from exchanging with each other?

When two people sharing same iCloud and the first party contact is showing in the other party contact it exchange each other

Contacts not sharing from my iPhone I have several internet accounts on my iPhone and my mac. I noticed that quite often there were contacts missing from my mac, so I investigated what was going on. One of my Google accounts, one that was set as my default contact source for a while has many more contacts on the phone than on the server. These contacts appear nowhere else other than on my iPhone, they aren't pushing to the server and therefore not propagating to my Mac. The server and my Mac agree that there are 57 contacts, while my iPhone has 405 contacts for this account. I have several other places with contacts, like my iCloud and other Google accounts, but only this one is broken.

Two iPhones with different Apple IDs syncing contacts I have two iPhones that both have different Apple IDs. Each unique Apple ID is associated with a different email address and connected to only one of the two devices. However, my contacts keep syncing with one another. How do I stop this from happening?

Apple and iCloud accounts are not meant to be shared. They’re meant for one person use only because sharing causes issues like the one you are having. Your best option is to stop using the same account and use individual accounts.
