How to erase a duplicate photo image in an existing photo from “Files” App on an Iphone/Ipad

On the photo tap to click on pen icon
Tap on eraser, select eraser size
Tap on the part of photo that needs to be deleted.
You will see the selected part highlighted with trash can symbol
Tap trash can to delete selected photo

What you describe in your bullet points is how to delete an element from a photo, not how to delete a file. Can you clarify?

Basically, I accidentally created a sticker on top of the original photo from the “files” drive. These are the steps I took to recover a photo to its original from an overwritten photo file on iCloud files drive. Hope this helps.
