According to the Apple specs, the Ipad Pro 11 inch 4th generation supports esim. I tried to install an esim from Airalo and the error message said the esim was not compatible with the ipad. Another esim supplier told me that their esim doesn’t work on that model. Is the compatibility problem with the esim suppliers or are the Apple specs incorrect?

Presumably you have a WiF+Cellular model iPad. WiFi Only models do not have any Cellular capability.
