Math notes writing 1 incorrectly

When I use math notes on my iPad the solutions that include “1” are always written with “ I I “ instead of 1. I’ve tried to reset my handwriting in settings but it didn’t help.

Now when I try to toggle the setting back on, where the toggle button should be it says "Support for improving handwriting legibility will download when connected to WiFi." even though I am connected to WiFi. And, just so we're clear, all other WiFi related things work fine with the iPad. I am receiving emails. I can surf the web. My Apple Notes are syncing with my computer and phone via iCloud. In an effort to remedy this I have done the following: Turned WiFi off and back on. Turned Airplane mode off and back on. Quit out of Apple Notes. Started a new note. Restarted my iPad Pro (on two different occasions). None of this has remedied the issue. I still see the same message. Does anyone have any suggestions to fix this issue? As I said, this feature was working great until 2 days ago.

Unable to Paste Images in Handwriting Section of Apple Notes (iPadOS 18) Since updating to iPadOS 18, I’ve encountered an issue when handwriting notes in Apple Notes. Previously, I was able to paste images into the handwriting section, but now no paste option appears when I tap to insert an image. Instead, I only see "Select All" and "Insert Space" as available options. Has anyone else experienced this issue, and is there a solution or workaround? Thanks!

period is correcting to a small x on notes I am having a very unusual issue with my notes. I am trying to type a period, but it is coming up as a small x. This is only happening when the period is at the very end of the screen before it tries to go onto another line. When I try to copy and paste the same sentence with the period, it also changes it to the small x. Please help. [Edited by Moderator]
