My keyboard is adding extra spaces, how do I stop this?

As I'm typing, it will randomly add spaces. It happens within words, and randomly between words. It's super inconsistent. Pressing "shift" also adds a space. Sometime it's as if the space bar is being constantly pressed and the curser moves across the page. How can I stop it from doing this? I'm sick of all the typos.

I'm using the magic keyboard with Touch ID. It's pretty new, I bought it only a few months ago.
