Sonoma iCal - Intermittent: Can't move events or OPT + Drag to copy events

Every so often, I can no longer drag calendar events to new times using the Trackpad, or OPT + Drag to copy events.

Instead of moving or coping the event, it displays one of those preview bubbles - see attached.

Quitting iCal usually fixes it (or plugging in a mouse) but not always.

What the heck is causing this mind-numbing waste of time - is it an update to M4 trackpads or a bug in MacOS Sonoma?

Does any one know how to fix? Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

After much digging around, this setting fixed it...

System Settings > Trackpad > Look up & data detectors = Set to off.

Now I can move calendar events around by dragging using the trackpad.

Also, why can't we mark posts as the answer, and why can't we update the title of a post (or the post) to correct mistakes? These sorts of data-based decisions ultimately create unhelpful user forums full of incorrect information. We're humans, sometimes we need to correct an honest mistake and give our fellow users a point in the right direction - no?
