Update Apple Account Settings has appeared today on my Macbook Pro. I see this has been recorded previously. How do I fix this as it seems like a scam.

The message appears, I open it and then it disappears. Try again a few times and it continues to circle. I have to shutdown manually and when back on there it is again. I am running the latest iOS.

Annoying Update message on settings There is a permanent 1 marked on the Settings app on our newish iMac which is running Ventura. When we click on Settings there is a message to the effect that 'Your Apple ID needs updating' but when we try to do this supposed update and enter Apple ID password it won't accept it. My husband has changed his Apple ID several times because of this but it makes no difference. He has tried logging out of his Apple ID and then logging back in again but it doesn't have any effect. Why is my Apple ID settings on my computer not allowing me to edit my settings? Message "account changes are restricted by a profile" When I try to log into my Apple ID settings on my laptop, I get the message that "account settings are restricted by a profile" and the Apple ID menu items are grayed out. What does this mean? Was my account hacked? I reset my password but the message persisted.

Update My Apple ID Settings endless loop. I had a notice from System Preferences to Update My Apple Settings and requires me to log into my Apple ID. When I enter the ID and password, it just says continue, when you hit continue, it just prompts to continue. It never goes away. I can't use my ID.
