How do I avoid blocked calls from showing up on my iPhone call log?

Since upgrading to iOS 18 I've been seeing entries under recent calls for calls that are blocked by my call blocking app. The phone doesn't ring, but I get a notification badge on the phone app and the blocked call will show in recents as 'Blocked by AppName'. My understanding is this behavior comes from CallKit and isn't anything app developers can control.

I don't want to see blocked calls at all. That's why I'm blocking them. I want them to fall silently into the void where scammers belong like they did in previous iOS versions. Please provide a way to change this behavior so we can cut blocked calls out of our lives entirely if we choose to. At the very least let us turn off the notification badges.

Stop Blocked Calls from Showing in Recents: […]I don't want to see blocked calls at all.[…]

Not Seeing Blocked Calls:

Consider Malwarebytes Mobile Security:

If you were to use Malwarebytes Mobile Security then that may do the job. It blocks out suspected scam calls, based on the sender's phone number.

The paid version lets you report a number and add phone numbers to the blocked callers library yourself - once reported, it blocks it out, not even allowing it to go through, ultimately not letting it show in your Call Log.

Malwarebytes is created by longtime users of these forums, making it the only reliable Security Software for Apple devices. Go Here: Malwarebytes Mobile Security - App Store
