apps for live translation of texting on imac sequoia

Are there any translation apps that can be used to translate live texting on an imac? Are there any built in? I was using an app I downloaded, but it stopped working. The internet offers answers that don't work, at least on my imac. The internet suggests that Google Translate is excellent, but in the app store it says that app is not compatible with my imac. I also searched to find any apps built in to macs, but I got conflicting answers.
