My Apple Watch Series 7 battery is draining after updating to WatchOS 11.4

If a force restart did not work, unpairing the watch would be the next step:

Everybody should let Apple know directly about this issue by using the Feedback link, as this is the only way to reach them.

The more users do that, the more likely the issue will be noticed by Apple Techs and hopefully fixed in an upcoming update.

My Series 7 watch isn’t even lasting 6 hours after the update. Before update I would get a full day (~18 hours) out of a charge, and that’s with working out over 2 hours per day.

My watch also has cellular. I have unpaired/paired the watch twice. Factory reset the watch. DID NOT reattach cellular. Shut off app refresh on several apps I don’t need… and still no improvement. @Apple please fix this ASAP!

My Ultra 2 uses 1.3% per hour at the end of the day. It used to be 1.16% in watchOS 11.2, after 70h of use with 18% battery left.

I found, that workouts seem to be using more battery life than before, I did not change my usage pattern.

I also have the same problem with my Apple Watch 6 since iOS 11.4.

The previous version was a lot better. Now at the end of the day. (No workouts today) my battery is 8%!!!

With the previous version i had after a day at least 30% battery available!! What a difference!

I’m experiencing the same on my AWU2 on 11.4. Ever since the update my watch has experienced rapid battery drain. A device that would normally last me 2.5-3 days, doesn’t even last 1 day anymore. I’ve already tried rebooting, re-pairing, etc. with no change.

My watch updated overnight. I had a full charge when I pulled it off the charger this morning around 5 AM.

It's 1440 right now and my watch is dead.

I have Series 9, this should not be happening. Absolutely unacceptable.

you’re not alone my series 6 44 mm doing the same thing I would have about 1/2 of the battery after about 11 to 12 hours now my watch is dead by the time I get home

Same here - Watch Series 7 and after Watch OS 11.4 the battery is dead after approx. 12 hours. Before it was at least 24 hours.

Same problem with my serie 7. Battery can't last a day...

watchOS 11 fixes this issue but also remember the big 7 to 8 and the number updates are made for the newer generation devices

The same here. AWU2 with 11.4. One hour after full charge I have 97%. Usually 1h takes 1%. LTE is turned off.
