Continuous hammering noises on iphone X

Have turned off all notifications and subsections; background noise in accessibility; turned mobile off for lengths of time. Upgraded automatically: now 16.7.10. Turned sound off but noises still there. Can manually turn sound down to not hear it. In background if I play music.

It began 5 hours ago when checking emails/whatsapp etc.
