iPhones cheaper in UK than US when tarriff wars kicks in?

Will iPhones be cheaper in UK than US once the effects of the terriff war kick in? If so, can I buy a new phone in the UK when I visit, and use it with no problem in the US? (I realize warranties are not internationally transferable.)

iPhone 14, iOS 18

No one here knows whether the price of the iPhone will go up, or Apple will slash profits, or Apple will move manufacturing reliability from China. No one knows, and there is no point in speculating. What we do know is that iPhones are sold regionally, and I do not recommend you buy an iPhone outside your country of residence. The main reason is service, you will have to return to where you purchased the iPhone for service. It may not be available in your country. So you theoretically can use the iPhone in another country without a problem. But if you run into a problem with the iPhone, you’ll have even more problems trying to fix it.

Latest declaration is to exempt iphones and other computers from the trade war levels of tariffs. However the exemptions could be temporary and the order also does not exempt companies from the 20 percent "fentanyl" fee imposed on China, which was an earlier penalty, so there is still a fee that Apple may need to pay.
